Moldova has taken preventive measures to ensure the country's energy security and introduced early alert state in the natural gas sector
The government said that, in the context of the information provided by the Energy Ministry on the potential risk of disruption of natural gas supplies due to military actions in the area of the cross-border point between Russia and Ukraine (Suja), the Commission for Emergency Situations decided to take preventive measures to ensure Moldova's energy security. The Commission for Emergency Situations stated that there are currently no interruptions of gas supply or risks of immediate interruptions. The introduction of the early alert state will grant the responsible institutions the necessary leverage to closely monitor and promptly intervene if necessary. It should be noted that the early warning level is introduced when there is credible information that an incident may occur that will affect the gas supply and could lead to an alarming or emergency situation. // 09.08.2024 – InfoMarket
