Termoelectrica proposes to reduce the tariff for heat and electricity supplied to the capital's consumers by 15% and, respectively, by 8%.

Termoelectrica head Iurie Razlovan said during a press conference on Friday. "We have submitted a proposal to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) to reduce by about 15% the heating tariff for the capital's residents, and by 8% the electricity tariff," he said, emphasizing that the request was developed taking into account the new methodology for calculating tariffs and prices, approved by ANRE in October this year, and taking into account the reduction of the projected average gas price for 2024, compared to the gas price included in the current tariff. According to Termoelectrica's application published on ANRE's website, the cost of thermal energy may decrease from MDL 3,267 to MDL 2,783 per giagcalorie, while the cost of electricity may decrease from MDL 3.98 to MDL 3.65 per kW. It is worth mentioning that earlier in 2023 Termoelectrica's tariffs were adjusted twice. In February 2023, ANRE approved an increase in Termoelectrica's tariff for thermal energy - by 25.3% - to MDL 3,577 per gigacalorie, while the regulated price for electricity was reduced then by MDL 0.61 per kWh (-14%) - to MDL 3.93 per kWh. In June 2023, the tariff for heat supplied by Termoelectrica was reduced by 310 lei (-9%) - from 3,577 to 3,267 lei per gigacalorie, while the regulated price for electricity produced by the company was increased by 5 bani per kWh (+1%) - from 3.93 to 3.98 lei per kWh. The new tariffs proposed by Termoelectrica are to be analyzed and approved by ANRE. // 08.12.2023 – InfoMarket
