Companies and organizations from Moldova can participate in the EU program for financing cross-border projects in the field of renewable energy with a total budget of 1 million euros.

The Ministry of Energy reported this, noting that, in particular, educational, research and training institutions, non-governmental organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises, central and local public authorities from Moldova can apply for participation in the Connecting Europe Facility for Energy (CEF2) Energy - Cross-border Renewable Energy Projects program with a total budget of 1 million euros for renewable energy projects. The program aims to develop and identify cross-border renewable energy initiatives, from generation to investments in storage or transportation. Funding proposals will be accepted in line with the EU Solar Strategy, which will contribute to increasing grid-integrated photovoltaic energy. Research initiatives on hydrogen as a possible substitute for natural gas, coal and oil, as well as on decarbonization of the industrial sector and transport will also be relevant. At the same time, the requested funding can be used for technical, economic or legal support to establish or develop cross-border cooperation to select the best project concept. Applications will be accepted until January 9, 2024. Proposals may be submitted by a single applicant or a consortium. // 15.11.2023 - InfoMarket.
