New, reduced electricity tariffs for Premier Energy and FEE Nord customers took effect.

New, reduced electricity tariffs for Premier Energy and FEE Nord customers took effect.

Decisions of the Management Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) on the prices for electricity supply by Premier Energy and Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) were published on November 14 in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova) and came into force. Thus, for Premier Energy's household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, the tariff decreased by 7% - from 2.57 to 2.39 lei/kWh. At the same time, the tariff for Premier Energy customers whose electrical installations are connected to medium-voltage distribution networks (6; 10 kW) was reduced by 8.7% - from 2.08 to 1.9 lei/kWh, and for those whose electrical installations are connected to high-voltage distribution networks (35; 110 kW), it was reduced by 10% - from 1.9 to 1.71 lei/kWh. Electricity supply at the entry points of Premier Energy's transmission networks was reduced by 10.8%, from 1.67 to 1.49 lei/kWh, and at the exit points of the transmission networks - from 1.87 to 1.69 lei/kWh. In its turn, the tariff for Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, was reduced by 10% - from 3.2 to 2.88 lei per kWh, and for FEE Nord consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to medium-voltage (6; 10 kW) distribution networks, the tariff was reduced by 14.3% - from 2.3 to 1.97 lei per kWh. Electricity supply to the entry points of FEE Nord transmission networks decreased by 17.7% - from 1.86 to 1.53 lei/kWh, and to the exit points of transmission networks - from 2.06 to 1.73 lei/kWh. The reduction of regulated prices for electricity supply to end consumers was adopted after reviewing the applications submitted by Premier Energy and FEE Nord. The main factors of tariff revision are: decrease of the average purchase price of electricity by 3-4%; changes in the forecast of electricity supply volumes; application of the exchange rate of the national currency (MDL) against the USD - 18.31 MDL/USD, which is 3.6% less than the value applied in determining the current prices (18.99 MDL/USD). It should be reminded that last time the electricity tariffs in Moldova changed on July 7. At that time, the electricity tariff for Premier Energy household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, was reduced by 14% (-42 bani) - from 2.99 to 2.57 lei per kWh (excluding VAT), while the electricity tariff for the same household consumers Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord was reduced by 10.6% (-38 bani) - from 3.58 to 3.2 lei per kWh. It is worth noting that in 2022 electricity tariffs were raised 5 times, while in 2023 they were reduced 4 times (in January, April, July and November). Before the first increase in 2022 (in April), the tariff for Premier Energy household customers was 1.51 lei/kWh and for FEE Nord it was 2.04 lei/kWh. Before the first increase in 2023 (in January), the tariff for Premier Energy household customers was 4.62 lei/kWh and for FEE Nord houysehold customers - 4.65 lei/kWh. // 14.11.2023 - InfoMarket.
