According to the company's semi-annual financial statements, Termoelectrica's sales in the first half of 2023 amounted to 3 billion 519.4 million lei, 24% more than in the same period last year, while the cost of sales increased by 53.6% to 3 billion 784.9 million lei. The company also increased distribution expenses by 16.2% (up to 21.4 million lei) and administrative expenses by 5.2% (up to 27.3 million lei). Termoelectrica's operating losses amounted to 188.4 million lei (against a profit of 384.6 million lei in the same period last year). The total assets of the company decreased during the year from 5 billion 209.5 million lei to 4 billion 362.2 million lei (-16.2%); 0.9 billion lei were current assets and 3.4 billion lei - long-term tangible assets. The company's authorized capital amounted to 554.05 million lei, remaining unchanged compared to the situation as of June 2022. According to the company's statements, in the first half of 2023, Termoelectrica produced 840.64 thousand Gcal of thermal energy, which is 4% less than in the same period last year, of which 693.6 thousand Gcal were supplied to consumers (-4.4%). The indicator of losses in the network increased from 16.79% to 17.8%, amounting to 144.1 thousand Gcal (2.6 thousand Gcal a year earlier). The cost of supplied heat increased by 48.7% over the year, to 3218.5 lei per Gcal. At the same time, the supplier provided heating of 218.4 thousand cubic meters of water (-16.8% versus the first half of 2022). The cost of these services increased over the year from 13.17 to 15.61 lei per cubic meter (+18.5%). At the same time, in 6 months of 2023 Termoelectrica produced 380.7 thousand kWh of electricity, 12.4% less than in the same period last year. Almost 55.7 thousand kWh was own consumption for production needs and 0.4 thousand kWh was own consumption for household needs. Electricity supply on the grid outlet lines amounted to 322.6 thousand kWh, which is 14.3% less than in the first half of 2023. The report also notes a 2-fold increase in the cost of natural gas used for energy production, which had a negative impact on the company's operations. Termoelectrica used a total of 67.8 million cubic meters of natural gas for energy production in January-June 2023, which is 58.1% less compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the company used alternative fuel - fuel oil and reduced the temperature regime in the heating system. A total of 97.9 thousand tons of fuel oil has been used since the beginning of the year, 59% of which was used for power generation. At the end of June 2023, Termoelectrica's debts amounted to 3.28 billion lei and increased 3.2 times compared to the beginning of the year. The biggest debts of the company are to Energocom - 1.33 billion lei and Moldovagaz - 0.66 billion lei, as well as in relation to the loan for the implementation of the project of increasing the efficiency of the Chisinau district heating system - 0.59 billion lei.
