Gasoline and diesel fuel continue to rise in price in Moldova amid a rise in international quotations for oil products - ANRE.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) said that it constantly monitors the market of oil products and that international quotations for fuel have been increasing lately. ANRE emphasized that the recent increase in the retail price of gasoline and diesel fuel in our country was due exclusively to the growth of Platts quotations for petroleum products on international exchanges, the indicator underlying the current Pricing Methodology. According to ANRE, in particular, in the last 2 weeks, which is used by the energy regulator to calculate prices, the Platts quotations increased by $35 per ton of diesel fuel and $33 per ton of gasoline, and this trend of price increase continues. At the same time, ANRE said that another factor that currently contributes to the increase in the final price of oil products is the depreciation of the national currency against the U.S. dollar, which during the same period amounted to about 0.36 lei per $1. Under these circumstances, for tomorrow, July 11, the maximum retail prices of basic standard oil products are set at the following level: gasoline COR 95 - 24.26 lei per liter (+10 bani); standard diesel - 20.24 lei per liter (+12 bani). ANRE said it continues to closely follow the developments on international oil exchanges and assured consumers of the correctness of the daily calculation of prices set for fuel purchases. // 10.07.2023 - InfoMarket.
