
New electricity tariffs approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) took effect.
Thus, according to the decision of ANRE, published on July 7 in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova), the electricity tariff for Premier Energy household consumers whose power installations are connected to low-voltage distribution power grids (0, 4 kW), was reduced by 14% (-42 bani) - from 2.99 to 2.57 lei per kWh (excluding VAT), and the tariff for the same household consumers of Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) was reduced by 10.6% (-38 bani) - from 3.58 to 3.2 lei per kWh (excluding VAT). The factors that influenced the decrease in the price of electricity supplied by Premier Energy were: a decrease in the price of electricity purchased from the central supplier by about 20%, which reduced the expenses related to electricity purchase by about 198.6 million lei; a decrease in expenses related to electricity purchased by about 246.8 million lei due to lower prices of electricity purchased from suppliers in the region; a decrease in expenses for distribution services by about 146 million lei as a result of lower tariffs for distribution services provision At the same time, the factors that influenced the decrease in the price of electricity supplied to consumers by Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord were the reduction of the purchase price of electricity from the central supplier by about 20%, which reduced the costs related to the purchase of electricity by about 73.5 million lei; positive tariff deviations of 57.7 million lei as a result of the reduction of electricity purchase price in Romania.
