Even if the contractual gas cost formula is changed, the price of natural gas for Moldovagaz end-users cannot be reduced, Vadim Ceban said.
Chairman of Moldovagaz Board stated that there are objective reasons for this. First of all, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) based its calculations on an average annual tariff of $926.94 per thousand cubic meters of natural gas, which is $146.8 less than the forecasted price of purchase in October ($1073.73). In November, this difference will be $96.8, with a forecast price of $1023.7 per thousand cubic meters. Thus, according to the provisions of the Methodology of calculation, approval and application of regulated prices and tariffs for natural gas supply, ANRE included the tariff deviations accumulated by Moldovagaz for January-September in the amount of 1,817.5 million lei into the tariff effective from October 1. Ceban clarified that the adopted tariff allows not only to compensate for the costs of the enterprise, but also not to accumulate new deviations, which will inevitably lead to a new price increase for consumers. // 04.10.2022 - InfoMarket.
