Energocom and NJSC Naftogaz (Ukraine) signed a framework agreement on the supply of 700 million cubic meters of gas to Moldova if necessary.
This is reported by the Ukrainian media with reference to a source in the government. It is noted that the deal took place against the background of the situation on world markets and vague forecasts of supplies from Gazprom, in particular, their possible complete stop. As noted by the Ukrainian media, in contrast to the 15 million cubic meters that Ukraine "lent" to Moldova given the state of emergency in the country, in this case the matter concerns the supply exclusively on a paid basis. Now Moldova has not purchased a single cubic meter. It is noted that, if necessary, Ukraine will sell to Moldova the imported resource, which is purchased in Europe with the marginality of the NJSC. “There can be no talk of gas of our own production,” a source in the government notes. // 25.10.2021 - InfoMarket.
