
Imports of oil products to Moldova in the first quarter of 2021 decreased by 8.5% (-16.08 thousand tons) - to 173 thousand 661.24 tons, compared to the same period in 2020.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) informed that, in particular, in January-March this year, compared to the same period last year, gasoline imports increased by 4.1% - up to 37,061.06 tons, imports diesel fuel - decreased by 12.7% - to 122 thousand 457.5 tons, and imports of liquefied gas - increased by 2.6% - up to 14 thousand 142.68 tons. According to ANRE, at the end of the 1st quarter of 2021, 22 companies owned licenses for the import and wholesale of gasoline and diesel fuel (in the same period last year - 20), and 13 companies held licenses for the import and wholesale of liquefied gas (11 for the same period last year). At the end of March 2021, 89 license holders were involved in retail sales of gasoline and diesel fuel (as of the same period last year - 88), and liquefied gas - 76 license holders (74). In general, at the end of the 1st quarter of 2021, there were 200 licensees for trading in petroleum products in the market (in the same period last year - 213). In the first quarter of 2021, ANRE issued a total of 10 licenses for operation in the oil products market; 7 licenses were renewed for the next 5 years. According to ANRE, 714 certified gas stations operate on the territory of Moldova, of which 517 sell all three types of fuel, 151 - only gasoline and diesel fuel, and 46 - only liquefied gas. Earlier it was reported that about 67% of the total number of gas stations in the country belong to 6 companies: Lukoil Moldova -17% of the total, Petrom Moldova - 13%, Rompetrol Moldova - 11%, Tirex Petrol - 11%, Datario (trade name Vento ) - 10% and Bemol - 5%. // 09.06.2021 – InfoMarket
