EBRD to help Moldova with reforms to develop a modern, sustainable, and competitive agricultural sector
Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) office in our country, Giuseppe Grimaldi, announced this at a meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga and State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Alexandra Sian. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the parties discussed the continuation of joint projects based on the strategic priorities of the agricultural sector. During the meeting, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga emphasized the importance of supporting experts involved in the activities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and efforts to develop irrigation projects, noting that they will have a significant impact on the modernization of agriculture and reducing the effects of climate change. Giuseppe Grimaldi, in turn, confirmed the EBRD's commitment to supporting Moldova in implementing the reforms necessary for the development of a modern, sustainable, and competitive agricultural sector. Alexandra Sian added that the Ministry of Agriculture is stepping up efforts to attract external financial resources for the modernization of agriculture.
