In Moldova, each leu (MDL) invested in the digitalization of public services brought savings of 100 lei, or 41 billion lei - equivalent to 3% of GDP – the Cabinet of Ministers
The government said this and many other things will be discussed during the event “Digital Moldova - 15 years of transformation” to be held on April 15. It is organized by the e-Governance Agency to celebrate Moldova's successes in the digitalization of public services. Digital transformation represented financial investments in the creation of new platforms, services and smart solutions that changed the quality of life. Currently, more than half of over 600 public services are fully or partially digitized and accessible 24/7 from anywhere in the world. The achieved results were made possible thanks to the development partners and the project “Modernization of Public Services”, implemented by the e-Governance Agency with the financial support of the World Bank Group and the contribution of the Government of Moldova. Throughout these years, the e-Governance Agency has been the institution that has played a central role in promoting and implementing digitalization initiatives in Moldova, and its initiatives have connected citizens with the state in a new, simple and fast way. The event “Digital Moldova - 15 years of transformation” will be attended by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Doina Nistor, Government's Secretary-General Artur Mija, WB Group's regional representative Carolina Odobescu and the director of the e-Governance Agency, Nicoleta Colomeet. The event will present the achievements in the field of digitalization and will feature panel discussions on the modernization of public services, digitalization of the business environment, as well as the social impact of digital transformation. // 14.04.2025 - InfoMarket.
