UNDP will continue to assist Moldova in improving SME financing, increasing the competitiveness of local products and digitalization of the public sector

This was stated during a meeting held by the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova, Doina Nistor, and UNDP Resident Representative Daniela Gasparikova. The discussion focused on the ongoing support provided by UNDP and development partners in the economic field, including by supporting clustering and specialization at the local level, providing more affordable financing opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises and increasing the competitiveness of local products on national and international markets. As noted, advancing the transition to a green economy remains a priority, supported by measures aimed at valuing raw materials, greening economic activities and increasing the mobilization of public and private resources for environmental initiatives and climate change adaptation. UNDP reaffirmed its commitment to support efforts to digitalize the public sector, including by strengthening institutional capacity to use innovative solutions and data analytics for more effective and evidence-based decision-making. // 09.04.2025 - InfoMarket
