Total volume of loans granted under the 373 Program exceeded 2.7 billion lei, while the volume of investments made in the economy reached 4 billion lei

The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization reported this, noting that, in particular, 663 entrepreneurs from all over the country have received profitable loans, developing businesses that bring economic stability and opportunities to communities. The companies created under the government's 373 Program employ more than 9,900 people and there are plans to create an additional 1,969 jobs. The total value of loans issued exceeded 2.7 billion lei and the amount of investments made in the national economy reached 4 billion lei. This money was directed to the development of small and medium-sized businesses, thus strengthening an important segment of the economy and giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to expand their business and create new, highly paid jobs here at home. The geography of investment projects covers all districts of the country, with the largest investments in the Central region and Chisinau municipality - more than 1.3 billion lei each. Next come the Northern region - 717 million lei and the Southern region, including the Gagauz autonomy - 200 million lei. The most investments were made in the energy production and supply sector - 45% of the total value of the projects, manufacturing industry - 16%, and transportation and storage - 15%. Significant investments were also made in health, education and recreation. The 373 Program, launched in July 2023, is continually evolving to meet the needs of entrepreneurs. Access to financing has been expanded and procedures simplified. It is now easier for SMEs in sectors such as trade (excluding trade in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) and vehicle maintenance to access finance. The maximum loan amount was increased from 15 to 40 million lei, while the possibility to finance the purchase of raw materials necessary for production or rendering services is now limited to 30% of the investment project's value. At the same time, the maximum amount of guarantee has been increased from 40% to 80% of the loan value through the Credit Guarantee Fund. The 373 Program is available from any bank in the country. // 04.04.2025 - InfoMarket
