Romania is Moldova's most important trade partner and one of its main foreign investors - Dorin Recean
Prime Minister said this during a meeting in Chisinau with Romanian Senate President Nicolae Ciucă, noting that the two countries' trade and economic ties are getting stronger and support Moldova's modernization and development. The sides discussed cooperation between the Moldovan and Romanian authorities in fields of strategic interest, as well as modernization projects implemented in Moldova with the Romanian side's support. Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the fact that Romania remains a big supporter of Moldova's European path, and that the joint projects bring concrete benefits to citizens on both banks of the Prut. “We are building a new bridge over the Prut together, we are energy-linked to ensure Moldova's security and energy independence, we provide school buses for students and support the restoration of heritage monuments. These initiatives are only a part of our joint efforts, through which we accelerate our European integration,” Dorin Recean emphasized. For his part, Nicolae Ciucă assured that Romania will continue to firmly back Moldova's accession to the European Union and will provide the necessary support in the negotiation process. // 10.10.2024 - InfoMarket.
