Moldova is interested in attracting new German investments and expanding cooperation with Germany in various fields - Dorin Recean
The Prime Minister stated this at a meeting with the Prime Minister of the German state of Baden-Württemberg Winfried Kretschmann. The parties exchanged views and visions on the possibilities of improving Moldovan-German cooperation in various fields. Dorin Recean thanked for the support provided by the German side, which is especially important in the current regional context and in the process of our country's advancement along the European path. In turn, Winfried Kretschmann emphasized that Germany will continue to support the transformation process carried out by the Moldovan authorities. "For us, the desire to support Moldova in the process of European integration is very important and close to our hearts, and we will provide assistance tailored to your needs," Winfried Kretschmann said, also noting the support that Germany provided to neighboring Romania in the process of its accession to the European Union. In this context, the parties discussed the activities of bilateral joint commissions that could intensify cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Germany in the areas of economy, research, and civil society. It was noted that in the future it would be desirable to have closer cooperation in the energy sector, including renewable energy, and to introduce modern German technologies for the development of this sector. Agriculture and the balanced development of all regions of the country will also be supported. In order to intensify cooperation in these two segments, joint declarations of intent were signed today in Chisinau. Dorin Recean noted that many German companies are already present on the Moldovan market, and investors expanding in our country benefit from an increasingly comfortable environment for activity. // 02.10.2024 – InfoMarket.
