
The EBRD will allocate the 3rd 10.3 million euros tranche of the loan to finance a solid waste project in Moldova.
This is provided for by the corresponding agreement, which was signed in Chisinau by Finance Minister Petru Rotaru and EBRD Vice President Matteo Patrone. According to the Ministry of Finance, this loan is intended to finance investments in Waste Management Zone 1 in the south of the country. The tranche is part of a 25 million euros loan provided to Moldova in 2023 by the EBRD to support important improvements in solid waste management in 3 key regions of the country. The permanent representative office of the EBRD in Chisinau was opened in 1996. During the EBRD’s activities in our country, agreements were signed to finance 173 projects worth more than 2.3 billion euros.
