
In Moldova, the volume of investments in long-term assets amounted to 5 billion 030.8 million lei in Q1 2024 and decreased by 2.8% from the same period of 2023.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) told the InfoMarket agency that, in particular, investments in long-term intangible assets in January-March 2024 amounted to 240.4 million lei and increased by 38.1%, compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, investments in long-term tangible assets decreased by 4.2%, to 4 billion 790.4 million lei (95.2% of the total). According to the NBS, at the same time, at the end of 3 months in 2024, investments in machinery and equipment amounted to 1 billion 629.9 million lei (-3% against the same period of 2023). Investments in the construction of residential buildings in Q1 2024 amounted to 752.8 million lei (+10.2%), in non-residential buildings (buildings and constructions) - 615.6 million lei (-17.1%), in engineering constructions - 473.9 million lei (-47.2%), in vehicles - 808.5 million lei (+9.2%), in other tangible assets - 509.7 million lei (2.2-fold increase).
