Moldova will sign an agreement with the European Commission on the implementation of the UE4Moldova: Integration and Stability program, under which Moldova will benefit from an assistance of 31 million euros.

The government approved the relevant decision on the launch of negotiations and signing of the agreement at a meeting on Wednesday. The program will support the sustainability, recovery and priority reforms in Moldova, in line with the Association Agenda 2021-2027 and Moldova's EU accession process. At the same time, 10 million euros out of the total financial assistance of 31 million euros are earmarked for improving the national capacities in terms of security threats and migration issues. Another 10 million euros are earmarked for the agricultural sector, while 11 million euros will be used in the context of reforms in the management of public finances, justice, competition, labor, energy efficiency, etc. Assistance will be provided through various instruments: consultancy, analysis, training, equipment, infrastructure, expertise and grants.
