
The new head of the USAID mission in Moldova, Jeff Bryan, reaffirmed his support for Moldova's democratic course.
He said this at a meeting with Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Jeff Bryan commended the steps taken by the authorities to promote reforms and Moldova's pro-European agenda, as well as reiterated USAID's assistance in backing Moldova's democratic course. The government's press service said that during the meeting, the sides discussed the priority areas of the USAID assistance and the already launched projects related to economic development, social cohesion, renewable energy sources and democracy promotion. Dorin Recean spoke about the most important goals of the Cabinet of Ministers to promote - stimulating productivity growth and attracting investments. "We are increasing investments in infrastructure, especially in the expansion and modernization of the railway system.
