CNPF approves new standard forms for compulsory insurance of motor liability, including indemnification of damages.

At its last meeting, the Management Board the Financial Market National Commission (CNPF) endorsed the regulation on the approval of the form and content of a number of standardized forms related to the insurance of motor liability for damage caused by motor vehicles and instructions for their completion. The development of standardized forms follows from the powers of the CNPF, and the institution draws the attention of professional participants of the insurance market to the fact that the form and content of applications for insurance, contracts of compulsory internal and external insurance of civil liability, as well as the form and content of the insurance policy for MTPL and the certificate of insurance "Green Card" have been changed. An innovation is that model forms of applications for damage compensation and damage assessment protocols have been developed, as well as instructions for their completion. These provisions will make it possible to unify the practice in the insurance market at the stage of regularization of cases on claims in the field of motor third party liability insurance. In particular, the matter concerns strengthening of the transparency and clarity of the rules regarding the methods of payment of insurance indemnity, as well as the process of identification and assessment of damaged property. Also, the new rules will help to reduce abuses in the process of establishing fair compensation. The document will take effect 30 days after publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). // 20.05.2024 - InfoMarket
