The Administrative Council of the National Health Insurance Agency has submitted the draft Law on Compulsory Medical Insurance for 2022.

The revenues of the Compulsory Health Insurance Funds for 2022 are planned at the level of 12 billion 876 million lei, which is 15.5% more than in 2021. The project also envisages expenditures at the income level - 12 billion 876 million lei, which is 13.5 % more than in 2021. The decision to increase the expenditure side of the Compulsory Health Insurance Funds for 2022 is due to: an increase in the Fund's expenses for paying for medical and pharmaceutical services by 12.7% - up to 12 billion 609 million; a 57% increase in the salaries of the administrative staff of medical institutions; an increase in the cost of paying for hospital medical care services by 10.5% - up to 6 billion 459 million lei; an increase in the cost of paying for the work of pre-hospital ambulance by 3.6% - up to 1 billion 113 million lei. In addition, in 2022, for the first time, the costs of reimbursable drugs will be divided and redistributed from the Primary Health Care sub-program to a new sub-program - Reimbursable Drugs and Medical Devices Services, for which 1 billion 55 million lei will be allocated.
