Maib announces the launch of the second edition of the “You drive IT” program

Maib team believes in the potential of every female student who aspires to change the world through technology. In this context, the leading banking institution in the Republic of Moldova announces the launch of the second edition of the "You Drive IT" program a scholarship initiative dedicated to female students from the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) in the fields of IT and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
As part of this program, five one- time scholarships, each worth 15,000 MDL, will be awarded to outstanding UTM women students in IT and STEM who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and a remarkable commitment to extracurricular activities and volunteer work.

Who can apply
 
Eligible applicants are female students enrolled in the following programs: Bachelor's Degree, year 3-4, Master’s Degree, year 1-2. Students must be attending full-time studies in the following faculties:
 

  •      - Electronics and Telecommunications
  •      - Energetics and electrical engineering
  •      - Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics
  •      - Mechanical Engineering and Transport


How to apply for the “You drive IT” scholarship
To apply, each student should submit the following documents via email to resurseumane@maib.md 
 
  •      - Academic transcript for the 2024-2025 academic year, with a minimum grade of 8;
  •      - Diplomas, certificates, or other documents confirming participation in volunteer activities, as well as articles and other publications in the IT field;
  •      - A video letter of intent (up to 1 minute in length);
  •      - An essay (2,500-3,000 characters) on the topic: “AI through the eyes of a young woman in STEM: a journey of dreams, innovation, and responsibility”.
 
Program timeline:
 
  •      - Application deadline: June 20, 2025, at 6:00.
  •      - Evaluation period: June 23-27, 2025.
  •      - Announcement of winners: July 4, 2025.
