Maib continues to provide financial support to Ukrainian refugees: 492 910 MDL is the sixth instalment donated

At the beginning of March this year, maib, the leading bank of the Republic of Moldova, announced a donation of about 10 million MDL that it will make by the end of 2022 to the special account opened by the Government of the Republic of Moldova to support Ukrainian refugees in our country.
Maib transfers a fixed amount monthly for each transaction made with a debit or credit card issued by the bank and for each payment made at any POS terminal and online.
So far, within this project, the maib donation is 3 902 137 MDL.
Thus, in August, the sixth donation in the amount of 492 910 MDL is being made. 25 094 MDL were donated by maib customers and employees to the special account “Help Ukraine” through the maibank app and at the self-service terminals. The remaining amount represents the money collected from the transactions made with the maib cards in July.
The fifth instalment donated by the bank in July constituted 522 169 MDL. 475 174 MDL represented the money collected from the transactions made with the maib cards in June, and 46 995 MDL was donated by customers and employees to the special account “Help Ukraine” through maibank app and at the self-service terminals.
In June, the bank transferred 503 578 MDL. Out of this amount, 457 360 MDL came from the transactions made with the maib cards, and 46 218 MDL were donated to the special account “Help Ukraine” through maibank app and at the self-service terminals.
The third instalment, in the amount of 467 946 MDL, accumulated from the transactions made in April, was donated in the first week of May.
The second instalment of the donation worth 392 725 MDL, based on the transactions of the bank’s customers in March, was transferred to the refugee support fund in April. In addition, another 251 057.36 MDL were donated by the maib customers and employees to the special account “Help Ukraine” through the maibank app and at the self-service terminals.
The first instalment of 1 522 809 MDL, accumulated based on February transactions and total monthly salaries of the members of the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Management Board of maib and the members of the Management Board, was transferred in March to support the Ukrainian people.
The maib cardholders who wish to support this initiative are urged to use the cards as frequently as possible to increase the amount donated to the refugee support fund.
