The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, without providing data in value terms. According to the agency, at the same time in February 2024, compared to February 2023, industrial production increased by 10%. As noted by the NBS, the increase in production in February 2024, compared to February 2023 (by 10%) was due to the growth of production in the extractive industry - by 5.7% and manufacturing industry - by 17.1%. At the same time, the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, hot water and air-conditioning decreased by 6.6% in the mentioned period. On the whole, in January-February 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, production volumes in the extractive industry decreased by 5.2% and in the processing industry - increased by 4.7%. At the enterprises producing electricity, heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning, the growth amounted to 2%. According to statistics, in 2 months of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, growth occurred in the following segments: food industry enterprises (+8.3%); production of chemicals and chemical products (+51.9%); pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+16.3%); production in the metallurgical industry (+52.4%); metal structures and products, except machinery, equipment and installations (+37.3%); production of computers, electronic and optical products (+290.8%); furniture (+14.9%); repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment (+20.5%). At the same time, there was a decrease in the production of: beverages (-13.8%); textile products (-8.4%); clothing (-13.7%); paper and paper products (-5.4%); rubber and plastic products (-12.7%); electrical equipment (-25.4%); machinery and equipment (-13.7%); automobiles, trailers and semi-trailers (-7.7%). Under the section "tanning and finishing of leather, production of suitcases, bags, saddlery, fur dressing and dyeing" production decreased by 42.9%; under the section "processing of wood and production of wood and cork products, except furniture; production of products from straw and other plant materials for weaving" production decreased by 18.7%.
