The National Agency for Food Safety inspectors undergo training in official controls of fishery products in Romania
In particular, from July 21 to 25, a group of 10 specialists from the National Agency for Food Safety from the central office, territorial divisions and border inspection posts took part in theoretical and practical training in Constanta. As noted in the National Agency for Food Safety's press release, the purpose of the seminar was to consolidate the theoretical and practical knowledge of the National Agency for Food Safety's specialists in the field of official controls and sampling in the fishery sector. The seminar covered the following topics: conducting official controls at fishery production and processing plants, as well as at border inspection posts (practical demonstrations in the port of Constanta); sampling procedures within the framework of official surveillance programs, as well as control of self-control programs at fish processing plants; the procedure for checking batches of fish and fishery products intended for trade in the EU and export, with an emphasis on issuing the relevant veterinary certificates. The training contributed significantly to the professional development of the National Agency for Food Safety's staff and the strengthening of institutional capacity to ensure food safety in fisheries in accordance with national and EU requirements. Other agency staff will be trained later in accordance with the Agency's training plan.. // 28.07.2025 — InfoMarket
