According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the batch of equipment was transferred within the framework of the project “Strengthening the capacity of the national police in Moldova,” which is being implemented by the International Organization for Migration with the support of the Government of Canada. The assistance includes 10 patrol cars, 20 computers, 40 body cameras, 5 search kits and 40 secure tablets. It is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the operational effectiveness of the police service in Moldova. The official ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Canada to Moldova, Gavin Buchan. At the same time, the General Inspectorate of Police reported that a gym was equipped with the support of Sweden. Swedish police officers are also implementing a mentoring program for Moldovan colleagues. All these activities are carried out within the framework of the Swedish program to support police reform in Moldova (2023-2026), of which the General Inspectorate of Police is the main beneficiary.// 22.08.2024 — InfoMarket.
