
The Moldovan Parliament adopted 230 normative acts during the spring session of 2024 at 22 plenary sessions
According to the press service of the supreme legislative body, 158 of them were laws and 72 were resolutions. In order to harmonize the national legislation with the EU legislation, 19 laws were adopted. According to the decision of the Parliament Speaker, 31 normative acts were considered in priority mode, 1 document - in emergency mode. Similarly, during the spring session of 2024, the Parliament adopted 2 codes - Land and Forest Codes. Also during the same period, MPs passed 150 draft regulatory acts in the first reading. It should be noted that during the reporting period, the parliament also held an extraordinary session, which took place on January 18, during which 3 laws and 1 resolution were adopted. Also on July 29, the MPs held an extraordinary session dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Moldovan Constitution. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, former presidents and parliamentary speakers, current and former MPs, constitutional judges, representatives of state institutions, academics and diplomats. Parliament meets in two regular sessions per year. The spring session begins in February and lasts until the end of July.
