Public Property Agency has launched the process of transferring Moldova's bus stations and terminals under state management

According to the Agency, the decision was adopted due to the fact of non-fulfillment of contractual obligations by the private partner - the company Garile Auto Moderne. Thus, the state launched the process of unilateral takeover of the assets managed under the public-private partnership initiated in 2018. The Agency also emphasized that all the measures taken were implemented in the public interest and concern the restoration of the legitimate management of the country's 30 bus stations and bus terminals. The created profile commission initiates the transfer of the unified Complex of bus stations and terminals under the management of the “Real Estate Management Office” State Enterprise. The decision is aimed at preserving the continuity of transportation services to the population, and any temporary disruptions will be promptly eliminated. Let us remind you that the Contract on concession of bus stations was signed on December 17, 2018 with Garile Auto Moderne LLC for a period of 25 years. According to the contract, the private partner undertook to modernize 30 bus stations and terminals in Moldova. In August 2022, the Public Property Agency announced the termination of the public-private partnership contract for the modernization of bus stations due to the failure to provide a guarantee of good faith performance and failure to implement the investment plan undertaken.” // 19.08.2024 – InfoMarket
