The government has approved a new regulation on the organization and functioning of the Public Procurement Agency.

According to the document, the Public Procurement Agency will have a maximum staff of 32 employees with an annual payroll according to the current regulatory framework. The limits of expenditures related to the activities of the Agency are set in the Medium-Term Budget Program for 2024-2026. Thus, according to the state budget law for 2023, the Agency's maintenance costs are estimated at 7 million 694.1 thousand lei. For 2024-2026, an additional 2 million 257 thousand lei is needed to fill the staff with 7 units, taking into account the new regulation on the salary policy applicable to the staff of the Public Procurement Agency starting from 2024. The new regulation on the organization and functioning of the Public Procurement Agency will take effect one month after its publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova), except for the provisions on sectoral public procurement - they will take effect on November 8, 2024. // 31.01.2024 - InfoMarket.
