The Public Services Agency (ASP) has simplified the procedure for issuing the Moldovan citizen’s passport.
According to the press service of the Agency, as a result of earlier amendments to a number of normative acts, the procedure of requesting a passport of a citizen has been simplified. Now, when applying for a passport, it is not obligatory to present civil status acts, including in the case of passport issuance for a child, provided that there have been no changes in the civil status and personal data of the parents or in the personal data of the child, or if the information on changes in the civil status and personal data, civil status acts and/or relevant documents is updated in the State Register of Population). It is also not mandatory to present an ID card for persons over 16 years of age (provided that the ID card has not been lost, stolen or damaged and is valid). The ASP notes that during the summer period the number of requests for passport issuance increases significantly, so it asks citizens to plan their visit to the multifunctional center in advance by registering online at www.asp.gov.md or signing up via the call center by phone 14 909. The application for issuance of a Moldovan passport can be submitted at any multifunctional center of ASP, and abroad - at any diplomatic mission or consular service. Payment for passport issuance services can be made online, through the governmental electronic payment service (MPay). At the same time, through the governmental service MDelivery it is possible to deliver the passport to its owner to an address in Moldova or in another country. //03.08.2023 - InfoMarket.
