Germany is ready to provide Moldova with gratuitous technical and financial assistance totaling 33.7 million euros for the implementation of a number of projects.
This was reported by the press service of the parliament, noting that at a meeting on Wednesday, the commission on foreign policy and European integration approved the start of negotiations on two relevant agreements. In particular, it is expected that 23 million euros will be provided to Moldova for the implementation of three ongoing projects: “Support for social and communal infrastructure III”, “Drinking water and sewerage supply system, Moldova Center, stage 3” and “Drinking water and sewerage supply system, Moldova Centre, stage 3, support measures”. Thus, the gratuitous financial assistance allocated by Germany is aimed at launching a new phase of a project in Moldova to support social and communal infrastructure, expand the water supply and sewerage system, ensure the connection of settlements to the Chisinau-Calarasi-Straseni main water pipeline, as well as provide consulting services to local water suppliers. At the same time, the issue of providing technical assistance for a total amount of 10.7 million euros is to be discussed with Germany. The money is intended to finance two projects - 2.5 million euros for "Political Consulting for Moldova" and 8.2 million euros for "Strong Enterprises and Communities for Moldova". The deadline for disbursing all financial resources is November 25, 2026. // 16.03.2022 — InfoMarket
