60 million lei will be allocated for the implementation of the new Program for the digitization of the work of small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova.

The government approved the program, which is planned to be implemented within 36 months, with a possible extension of this period. The goal of the program is the economic growth of SMEs, through the digitization of business processes, as well as facilitating access to domestic and foreign markets. The new program involves the exclusion of financial assistance in the form of a business voucher and its inclusion in the total grant amount. Thus, financial assistance (in the form of a grant) to micro-enterprises has been increased to 250,000 lei, and to small and medium-sized enterprises - up to 500,000 lei. The total amount of the grant will be a maximum of 70% of the project budget. The grant must be transferred directly to the beneficiary in two installments. The first installment in the amount of 70% of the approved grant amount will be transferred after the beneficiary presents proof of investing in the project of his/her own contribution (minimum 30%). The second installment of 30% of the approved grant amount will be provided after the full implementation of the project, subject to the submission of a set of supporting documents and after the completion of the monitoring mission. Also, the new SME Digitization Program provides for the abolition of the principle "A company can apply and benefit only once" and its replacement with "Applicants can apply for financial assistance provided by the program, within the established limits." In addition, the program will develop a register of IT solution/service providers. For 2022, 10 million lei will be allocated for the implementation of the program. It is planned that part of the funds will be allocated by external partners.// 02.03.2022 — InfoMarket
