Moldovan wine exports to the European Union in 2025 increased by 7% compared to 2024, reaching $127.4 million, while to the CIS, they increased by 6%, reaching $51.5 million
These data from the National Bureau of Vine and Wine were announced during the 10th wine conference "Wine Year 2025: Data, Solutions, and Results" held in Chisinau. The conference brought together industry representatives to discuss key events, indicators for the 2025 wine year, and development priorities. Overall, Moldovan wine exports in 2025 amounted to $212 million in value terms, down by 9% from 2024, but 10% higher than the average for the past five years and 23% higher than the average for the past ten years. In 2025, Moldovan wine reached 70 destinations and was supplied through 127 active exporters. The EU accounted for over 60% of the total value of Moldovan wine exports in 2025, while the CIS accounted for 24%. Bottled wines accounted for 62% of the total value of Moldovan wine exports last year. Romania was the largest consumer of bottled Moldovan wines in 2025, purchasing $40 million worth (an increase of 20% compared to 2024).
