Poland ranks fourth among Moldova's main economic partners in the EU

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, trade between Moldova and Poland is growing every year. In 2024, it reached $509 million, which is 13% more than in 2023. Thus, Moldova's exports to Poland grew by almost 15% in the last year alone, amounting to $153.4 million. Imports from this country grew by 12.1% to $355.5 million. The most important goods exported to Poland are fruit juices and nuts - $50.4 million (+345.7% compared to 2023); wires and cables - $21.1 million; apricots, cherries, cherries, peaches - $9.5 million (+25.9%); fresh or dried grapes - $8.8 million (+13.5%); wines - $8.5 million. Moldova also exported sunflower seeds, chairs, men's and children's suits, tubes, and packaging bags to Poland. Moldova mainly imports consumer goods and technical equipment from Poland. Among the most common goods are cheese and cottage cheese, pork, chocolate, refrigerators and freezers, washing machines, agricultural machinery for harvesting and threshing, as well as medicines. According to the Ministry, there are 88 enterprises with Polish capital operating in Moldova, with a total investment in share capital of 249.3 million lei.
