
Moldovan exports to Romania totaled $760.1 million in January-July 2023, up 1.4%, compared to the same period in 2022.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports increased from 28.49% to 32.39% during the mentioned period. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania in 7 months of 2023, as compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 8.1% - to $780.8 million, and its share in the total Moldovan import decreased from 16.63% to 15.58%. As a result, the negative trade balance of Moldova with Romania in January-July 2023 amounted to $20.7 million, having decreased almost 5 times relative to the same period of the previous year ($100.6 million). Romania at the end of 7 months in 2023 was Moldova's largest trade partner in terms of exports, having purchased the most Moldovan products in monetary terms during the mentioned period.
