Moldova to simplify the reporting system for companies and provide the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) with access to information collected by other institutions.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba announced this. He wrote on his social network page that the simplification of the reporting system will free millions of man-hours per year in the economy and will increase the productivity of our companies. Dumitru Alaiba reminded that most of the activity reports that entrepreneurs submit are sent to the National Bureau of Statistics. This is the biggest complaint. "At the same time, we all need statistics. That's not up for debate. But the data the NBS needs could be much easier to collect automatically from other agencies (the Internal Revenue Service, Customs Service, and others) if there was better interconnectivity. This would allow the NBS to no longer require reports from businesses. Granting the NBS access to information collected by other agencies will be a mega-priority for us over the next few months, which should allow us to do away with some of the reports that entrepreneurs now submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually," said Deputy Prime Minister. According to him, the authorities are also very serious about the possibility to get rid of the obligation to submit any statistical report for companies in the first year of their work. Such a practice exists in Estonia. "The vision we are striving for is an annual report on the company's activities. But this, of course, will not happen overnight," said Dumitru Alaiba. // 30.06.2023 – InfoMarket
