According to Amcham Moldova, these and other proposals of the business community were voiced at a meeting with business and business associations, organized by the Ministry of Finance to discuss priorities and objectives of the tax and customs policy for 2024. Among the issues most relevant to the business community and requiring intervention in the near future were: development of initiatives to promote investment, green economy and economic growth in general; amending the Law on Pollution Charges in order to avoid double taxation for economic entities that apply the principle of extended producer responsibility; developing a regulatory framework on transfer prices; reforming local fees to ensure their transparency, launching a new calendar of excise duty rates for 3-5 years, etc. According to the plans of the Ministry of Finance, the draft tax and customs policy for 2024 is expected to be approved by July 1, 2023 in order to ensure compliance with the rules of their implementation with a 6-month margin, as stipulated in the Tax and Customs Codes. // 09.03.2023 - InfoMarket.
