Over 100 companies, having the status of authorized economic operator (AEO), are entitled to export goods to the EU on preferential terms.

The Ministry of Finance reminds that since December 1, 2022, economic operators from Moldova with AEO status can export goods to EU on privileged reciprocity basis. This is possible due to the fact that Moldova is the first country in the region to obtain the reciprocal recognition of AEO with the European Union. Authorized Economic Operator status implies investments in supply chain security and stricter control over cargo security. AEO companies have certain advantages when crossing the border - they are provided with a separate lane at the customs point, and customs clearance is carried out in an expedited mode. Let us remind that Moldova has been implementing the Authorized Economic Operator Program since 2014. Since 2020 the program began to be coordinated with the EU. Since November 1, 2022, the program is recognized by the European Union, and operators with AEO status benefit from it. Currently, 116 enterprises have AEO status, including manufacturers of industrial products and building materials, agri-food products, equipment, retailers and caterers, etc. // 06.02.2023 - InfoMarket
