This is provided for by a relevant bill, which was approved by the government at a meeting on Wednesday, giving a positive conclusion to the initiative of a group of deputies to amend the current legislation. As Minister of Finance Dumitru Budianschi explained, the document provides for the annulment of the duty-free regime throughout Moldova upon the expiration of the licenses for such activities. According to him, as a result, the duty-free shop at the Chisinau airport will operate until December 22, 2022, and duty-free shops located at checkpoints at the land border at the exit - until September 3, 2023. Earlier it was reported that Duty-free regime will be canceled in Moldova, and duty-free shops after the expiration of their licenses will be able to work only with the payment of all taxes. The purpose of the bill is to ensure equal tax conditions for all entrepreneurs in the country, so that everyone pays taxes, and the state can help the most vulnerable.
