
On February 12, the Parliament of Moldova will hold hearings on the concession of the Chisinau airport and the process of terminating the contract with Avia Invest.
The corresponding decision was made at a plenary session on February 4 at the initiative of the vice-speaker of the parliament, deputy of the DA Platform Alexandru Slusari. Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii proposed to hold hearings on this matter at the plenary session of the parliament next Friday. The proposal was approved by a majority of the deputies. Earlier it was reported that on July 8, 2020, the Moldovan government notified Avia Invest about the termination of the contract on the concession of the Chisinau airport, and it was announced that the investor has 180 days to return the assets of the capital airport to the state. At the same time, the Stockholm International Arbitration Court, on the claim of Avia Invest, issued an interim judgment on the claim against Moldova on violation of international and national legislation in relations with the concessionaire of the Chisinau airport, and prohibited Moldova from performing actions to terminate the contract until the final decision, and prohibited any execution of the notice of termination of the concession sent to Avia Invest on 8 July 2020 // 04.02.2021 — InfoMarket.
