China is ready to expand cooperation with Moldova in the agricultural sector and increase imports of Moldovan fruit, wine, honey, meat, and other products
This was discussed during a meeting of Moldovan Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga with the new Chinese Ambassador to our country, Dong Zhihua. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the purpose of the discussions was to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation with a focus on the agricultural sector, which is considered an area of common interest and potential. The Chinese side emphasized its high appreciation of Moldovan agriculture, noting the quality of Moldovan fruits and wines, which could become a real element of the country's representation on the Chinese market. In particular, initiatives to promote table grapes, honey, beef and lamb, as well as other value-added agri-food products, were welcomed. A separate topic of discussions was the participation of Moldovan producers in exhibitions and thematic events in China as a tool for raising awareness and facilitating access to the Chinese market. In turn, Ludmila Catlabuga confirmed Moldova's interest in deepening agricultural cooperation with China, including through the exchange of experience, technological cooperation, and technical assistance. Particular attention was paid to the adaptation of agriculture to climate change, which was identified as one of the main contemporary problems. // 19.12.2025 — InfoMarket.
