A new phase of applications for direct payments in the livestock sector will start on August 15

This follows an order from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry published in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). The next call for applications for direct payments in the livestock sector concerns two measures: payments per head of animal and payments per kilogram of product. In particular, subsidies per head of animal can be requested for heifers older than 3 months (3,000 lei) and older than 12 months (5,000 lei). This payment is available to livestock farmers who have at least five animals aged three months or older on their farm. Applications for this measure will be accepted until October 17. A new call for applications for direct payments per kilogram of cow's, sheep's, and goat's milk will also begin. The subsidy amounts to 3 lei per kilogram of cow's milk and 5 lei per kilogram of goat's and sheep's milk.
