AIPA received 427 applications for additional measures subsidies for a total of 122.38 million lei from February 1 to May 31

This was reported by the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA), noting that exactly half of the deadline for receiving applications for additional measures subsidies has expired. Thus, farmers, agricultural producer groups, irrigation water user associations, agricultural trade unions, research and innovation organizations and educational institutions in the agro-industrial sector can still apply for additional subsidies until September 30 of this year. They can request assistance for measures to stimulate access to investment loans or working capital, to encourage the promotion and stimulation of the use of irrigation systems. Subsidies will also be allocated for the development of organic agriculture, the implementation of good agricultural practices, the cutting down of perennial plantings, etc. AIPA specified that from February 1 to May 31 of this year (4 months after the start of the call), 427 applications were registered, the amount of the requested subsidies amounted to 122.38 million lei. The largest number of applications were submitted by farmers from the Cahul district - 39, followed by the Edinet district with 36 applications. Of the 9 additional subsidy measures, measure 5.9 - subsidizing insurance premiums in agriculture - is in 1st place in applications with 214 applications, and the amount of the requested subsidies is 84.87 million lei. The additional payment is a form of subsidy provided by AIPA to cover current expenses or cover income losses. The deadline for submitting applications for the additional payment is from February 1 to September 30. Subsidies will be provided to cover eligible costs incurred from 1 October of the year preceding the application and during the year in which it is submitted.
