On June 6, Moldova will host the 7th Fruit Day exhibition of technologies and innovations in fruit growing

The event is organized by the Moldova Fruct Association of Fruit Producers and Exporters. It will take place in the orchards of the Fani company in the village of Miclesti, Criuleni district, and will be dedicated to the modernization of the fruit sector in the context of climate change. Companies offering solutions for fruit growing—irrigation systems, sorting technologies, packaging equipment, storage solutions, agricultural software, logistics, and other innovative services—will participate in Fruit Day as partners and exhibitors. This year, the focus will be on adapting fruit production to climate change through precision farming, digitalization, and modern technologies. This year's Fruit Day will be a platform for companies that develop and offer products and services aimed at modernizing this important sector of Moldova's economy. This year, the EU delegation to Moldova is the strategic partner of the event dedicated to the fruit production sector. EU Ambassador to Moldova Janis Mazeiks recalled that Moldova has been exporting fruit to the European Union since 2014. In 2023, following the EU's abolition of import duties on Moldovan products, exports of Moldovan fruit and vegetables to the European Union increased significantly. In 2024, more than 50 exhibiting companies from Moldova, Romania, Italy, Poland, Germany, France, and Greece took part in Fruit Day, as well as more than 400 visitors who were managers of local fruit companies. Exhibitors presented a wide range of solutions for the entire fruit value chain, from the creation of modern orchards, plantation protection, irrigation, cooling, and digitization to packaging and logistics. Fruit Day offers various business opportunities, given the presence of about 95% of decision-makers in the fruit industry. The aim of the event is to support fruit producers in the sustainable improvement of their products' quality and competitiveness. The annual event brings together producers, exporters, importers, and suppliers of equipment and services in this field, both from our country and abroad. // 02.06.2025 – InfoMarket.
