The presidential administration of Moldova asks the government to extend the ban on the export of wheat from the state reserve until the end of June 2021.
This is stated in an official letter sent by the adviser to the president in the field of defense and national security, secretary of the Supreme Security Council, Ana Revenco, to the interim prime minister Aureliu Ciocoi. As noted, the proposal to extend the ban is asked to be considered taking into account the discussion of this issue at the meeting of the Supreme Security Council on March 30, as well as in the context of the risks to the country's food security after the expiration of the government's decision, which introduced a temporary ban on the export of wheat from the state reserve until April 12. At the same time, a letter from the presidential administration about the need to extend the ban on the export of wheat from the state reserve until the end of June was sent to the government on April 8. Earlier, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture have repeatedly stated that nothing threatens the country's food security, the country has enough wheat reserves and, in addition, a good grain harvest is expected this year. // 12.04.2021 — InfoMarket
