Business associations of the sector of organic agriculture and winemaking of Moldova can receive grants from the EU in the amount of 60 thousand euros within the framework of the EU4Business: Connecting Companies (EU4BCC) project.

This was announced by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, inviting these business associations of our country to apply for a grant competition. As noted, the goal of the project is to support sustainable economic development and job creation in the Eastern Partnership countries, help small and medium-sized enterprises for growth, in particular, by promoting trade; encouraging domestic investment; encouraging trade relations with EU companies. Within the framework of the project, business associations from the Eastern Partnership countries and EU member states will be allocated 12 grants for the organic agriculture sector and 11 grants for the vine and wine sector to organize a number of additional activities, which will include: Twinning - establishing direct links between business associations EU and Eastern Partnership countries to exchange specific knowledge and best practices, with the help of experts; B2B - bilateral meetings; study visits to exchange experiences. Any grant requested in this Call for Proposals must be up to a maximum of € 60,000. Co-financing of EUROCHAMBRES will be by 95% of the final real budget, with the remaining 5% to be co-financed by the applicants from their own funds. The ultimate beneficiaries of the grants are enterprises with the potential for internationalization and business associations that need support to create new / innovative services for their members. Business support associations from an EU country and from Moldova must submit a joint project proposal (in this case, the main applicant is automatically the EU side) by participating in project competitions. The partnership of business associations should consist of a balanced number of partners: half from Moldova and other Eastern Partnership countries (in case of partnership more than 2 countries), and the other half from EU countries. A partnership of business associations must consist of at least 1 main applicant from the EU and 1 second applicant from Moldova, or an equal number of business associations from the EU and the Republic of Moldova. One business association can apply for a grant for a maximum of 2 separate proposals, which will be presented separately for each area. These two proposals / applications can be submitted for different activities (ex. study tour and twinning in the same sector). The implementation period is from July 1, 2021 to June 15, 2022. However, given the potential impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the project, subject to prior EU approval, the deadline may be extended.
