The UN will continue to support Moldova in implementing sustainable development programs

This was discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and the UN Resident Coordinator in our country, Yesim Oruc. The parties discussed priority areas of cooperation between the government and UN agencies in Moldova. Prime Minister highly appreciated the UN's continued support in Moldova's transformation process. He stressed that the Cabinet's priorities are economic growth and European integration, and that the external assistance received is very valuable. The head of government noted support in areas such as energy, education, security, and social integration. The agenda also included the issue of UN support for the integration into society of Ukrainians who have decided to settle in Moldova for the long term, providing them with access to employment, education, and social protection. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the partnership on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, and UN Coordinator Yesim Oruc assured that she would continue to support the government in implementing sustainable development programs, education projects, and humanitarian aid.
