National Wine Day will be held on October 4-5 in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau with a record number of participants - 106 wine companies – the ONVV

The National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) announced this, noting that on October 4-5, Moldova will celebrate another wine festival, "honoring Moldovan wine, winemaking traditions, and winemaking skills." The 24th National Wine Day will be held under the slogan of the national brand "Moldovan wine. Unexpectedly Great" and marks a record number of participants. Thus, 106 wine-producing enterprises have confirmed their participation, 43 of which are small local producers ready to share with visitors the aromas and stories of each bottle. The director of the ONVV, Stefan Iamandi, noted that National Wine Day is a great opportunity to celebrate legends and wine heritage, the successes of Moldovan wine, to reward the best winemakers, and to meet people associated with wine. According to him, National Wine Day is a holiday that, in addition to promoting Moldovan wine, aims to raise awareness and educate people about Moldovan wine—a product of national pride and responsible consumption of quality wines. "Moreover, every year we continue to make efforts to improve the visitor experience and protect the environment," said Stefan Iamandi. According to him, for the first time, the tasting book - a pass for wine evaluation - will be available only in electronic format. This is a natural step aimed at simplifying the visiting process, reducing paper consumption, and continuing efforts to make the event environmentally sustainable. The program for the 24th National Wine Day includes A Wine School, where visitors can learn about Moldovan wine under the guidance of certified sommeliers and tasters; Peasant Yard – a place where folk crafts come to life in sculpture, weaving, pottery, and folk dancing; Wine Tours – an invitation to go beyond the festival and discover the real Moldova in wineries and vineyards. The event is organized by the ONVV in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the Ministry of Culture of Moldova, UMAEF (Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund), and maib.
