The partnership between Moldova, Romania, and Germany can become a driver of competitiveness and sustainability for the whole of Europe - Eugen Osmochescu
The Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization made this statement at the opening of the Germany-Romania-Moldova Business Conference in Stuttgart. He stressed that for Moldova, this partnership comes at a crucial moment, as the country accelerates reforms and moves closer to European integration, modernizing its infrastructure, energy sector, public services, digitalization, and manufacturing, preparing the economy for full integration into the EU single market. Eugen Osmochescu noted the progress made towards European integration: modernization of infrastructure and the energy sector, accelerated digitalization (more than 80% of entrepreneurs interact with the authorities online, more than 200,000 documents are processed through the EVO platform), and the development of the ICT ecosystem. According to him, Agrotek Park and Moldova HiTech Park, two innovation zones designed to attract investment in future technologies, will be launched soon. The Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization expressed confidence that relations between Germany, Romania, and Moldova could become a pillar of regional competitiveness, creating new opportunities, reducing dependence, and strengthening Europe's industrial resilience. The panel discussion “Industry and nearshoring: strengthening European competitiveness and resilience through trilateral cooperation” focused on how Germany, Romania, and Moldova can work together to create more competitive supply chains and a more sustainable European economy. Moldova's role as a responsible and predictable partner, ready to contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable industrial solutions, was highlighted. “Together, we can strengthen sustainable partnerships, support economic development, and contribute to a stronger and more competitive Europe,” said Eugen Osmochescu. // 28.11.2025 — InfoMarket.
